A bit of history
Having worked as an underwater videographer in Sharm-el-Sheikh for over 3 years, Mark Haley amassed a stunning library of underwater imagery. The day job required the filming of divers who visited the region to enjoy the spectacular diving found amongst the reefs in the areas of Tiran and Ras Mohammed throughout the year.

This enviable position allowed Mark to capture the marinelife during the differing seasons which bring about contrasting environments. From the cold & clear sea of the winter months, with better chances of spotting lone white-tip reef sharks and the promise of quieter visits to the region's wrecks, to the warmer climes of the summer where masses of schooling fish can be found shepherded about by ominous sharks.

It was a simple idea: consolidate over a thousand hours of underwater footage filmed over three years in some of the best diving locations in the world into three films that showcase the very best the northern Red Sea has to offer. The "Blutopia Trilogy" was born.

Our plans for the future
We are currently working on new titles in the Blutopia series. Future destinations will include The Seychelles, Maldives, Mexico and Australia. Watch this space for developments!

As divers, we must respect the marine world to ensure it thrives for the future. We are merely visitors to a very special, beautiful but delicate environment.

In the Red Sea, dive centres and their staff strive to ensure visitors follow simple rules when diving. The simple rule "do not touch" ensures we do not damage, harm or destroy fragile ecosystems. The Ras Mohammed National Park was created to help protect the waters off the South Sinai peninsula. An entrance fee of 5 Euros into the park, which hosts the best diving in the Sharm-el-Sheikh area, helps fund this valuable organisation.

Blutopia supports marine preservation and the raising of public awareness to environmental issues. To show our commitment to help preserve the spectacular reefs, Blutopia will donate 10% of all our profits to the Ras Mohammed National Park.
